Vacations are meant to be relaxing and by following these simple tips, vacation travel that includes flying will be that much less frustrating.
1. Wear slip on shoes.
Grand Solmar Timeshare reminds airline passengers that they will have to remove their shoes to go through security. Wearing slip on shoes will make going through security that much easier. Forgo those buckles and laces for something that can be slipped on. Then just slip them on and go.
2. Remember the 3-1-1 rule that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has put in place for liquids on a flight.
Grand Solmar Timeshare explains the rule simply: First, if it can be checked then it should be checked. There are few restrictions on liquids that are checked. If the liquid must be available during the flight, then they must be placed in containers that hold no more than 3.4 ounces. These containers must then be stored in a clear plastic bag that is not more than a quart in size. Finally, only one clear plastic bag is allowed per traveler. This is the 3-1-1 rule: 3.4 ounces, one quart bag and one per person.
3. Finally, Grand Solmar Timeshare encourages airline travelers to check any sharp objects or things that can be considered potential weapons. These objects include things like ski poles and cattle prods, tools and baseball bats. If in doubt, check it. Many more things are allowed in the cargo hold than are allowed on the inside of the airplane. So again, if in doubt, check it. This will save a lot of headaches and wasted time at the security gate.
